A party describing itself as the new force in Manx politics is to hold a public meeting tomorrow(Monday) evening.
The Liberal Vannin Party has been formed by Onchan MHK Peter Karran.
It plans to put forward a field of candidates at this year’s General Election, including the already declared challenger in Rushen, Tony Wright.
The party - which claims it will bring politics to the people - has set up three branches targeting all Douglas constituencies, as well as Peel, Garff, Glenfaba, Middle and Onchan.
A vocal critic of the current administration, Mr Karran (pictured) says the new party aims to bring true democracy, accountability, and audit into the Manx government (audio file attached):
The public meeting on Monday takes place at the Liverpool Arms at 8pm.
