Police continue appeal after fatality

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses after an accident in which a Port Soderick man was killed.

Thirty-nine year-old Martyn Heyes lost his life after a collision with another motorcycle at Gorse Lea on the TT course on Friday morning, at the junction with Kerrowgarrow Road.

A stretch of the road was closed last night for police forensic inquiries.

Senior investigating officer, Inspector Derek Flint (pictured), says it’s tragic the Grand Prix opened and closed with fatalities on open roads (audio file attached):
