St. George's have moved to the top of Division One after a 2-0 win away at Douglas Royal. At the same venue where Laxey's long unbeaten run came to an end a week ago, a strike by Island forward Calum Morrissey and an own goal gave Geordies the three points.
Down the road at The Bowl, Laxey suffered a second defeat in Douglas in a week. St. Mary's beat the Champions 3-1 thanks to goals from Stephen Priestnal (2) and Martin Riley. Ross Williamson scored for Laxey who slip to fourth in the table.
The only other unbeaten team in the top flight is Peel who produced another convincing away performance. Neil Birchenough (2), Nigel Shimmin and an own goal saw the westerners record a 4-0 victory at Union Mills.
St. John's produced the comeback of the night. They trailed 1-3 to Rushen at half-time, but a strong second half performance resulted in a 4-3 home win at Mullen-e-Cloie. St. John's scorers were Wayne Lisey (2), Liam Harrison and Wes Kitchen. Chris Shimmin (2) and Andrew Baker were the men on target for Rushen.
A hat-trick from young Danny Oram inspired Ramsey to a 4-1 win over Marown at Ballacloan Stadium. Barry Sharpe scored the other for the northerners with Paul Bratty finding the net for Marown.
Gymns are off the bottom-of-the-table after a superb 3-5 win at Braddan. Neil Teare, Captain Jonathon Broad (2), Barry Harding and Ciaran McNulty scored for the away side with David Kinrade netting a hat-trick for Braddan.
St. George's have played five matches for 12 points to lead the standings. Peel and St. Mary's are next on 10 points and both have a game in hand. Laxey have played five for 9 points.
