Restaurateurs hungry for new body

The newly formed Isle of Man Restaurateurs Association, representing 18 restaurateurs’ who operate 22 restaurants on the Island, has now established a number of working parties.

These are to look at areas such as membership criteria, marketing, suppliers, training and liaison with government/tourism organisations.

Proposals will be discussed at the monthly meetings and put into action by a dedicated association secretariat.
Preliminary meetings, held to establish the initial parameters of the association, have produced ideas as diverse as special discount and loyalty schemes; group purchasing; food initiatives in schools and award programmes for young chef’s.
