Callister to defend End to End title

by isleofman.com 13th September 2006
Robbie Callister is to defend his End to End Race Walking title.

The race is scheduled to take place on Sunday 24th September. The event starts at the Point of Ayre at 8am and follows a route down the west coast to the Sound, a distance of 39.5 miles.

Callister is unbeaten over the course, which was first used in 2002 to avoid the more congested roads on the east side of the island.

Last year, a record 346 started the race. Around a week ago, 225 competitors had registered with entries closing today (Wednesday).
