A new art gallery, the Leaf Gallery has opened on North Quay in Douglas.
Its hoped that it will it be joined a numerous other businesses, as the
quay re-development of the area takes place.
The Treasury Minister Allan Bell last night applauded owners, Andrew Fingret and Lisa Eichler on their enterprise and underlined the government's enthusiasm in encouraging such businesses to set up, especially on the quayside.
He said the Government was keen to encourage diversification and to help talented people move here and work here.
Andrew Fingret is also involved in the Island's booming film industry.
