In other cycling news, following on from the success of the International Youth Tour, the Isle of Man has been awarded rounds of the prestigious British National Road Series to be held in 2007.
Thanks to the hard work of Youth Tour organisers and the continued success of local riders such as Mark Cavendish, Jonny Bellis, Peter Kennaugh and Mark Christian, the Isle of Man will hold a round of the National Junior Series (also known as the Peter Buckley Series) and a round of the National Youth Series.
Both events will be incorporated in the Youth Tour which takes place on the bank holiday weekend Friday May 4th to Sunday May 6th.
