Four junior hockey leagues are being formed by the Manx Hockey Association (MHA).
They’re due to start next month comprising of boys and girls in under 11 and under 13 leagues respectively.
A pre-season tournament will take place for each age group on October 8 at the NSC.
Five of the Island’s hockey clubs are entering the leagues and are looking for potential players, aged between 8-13 years, who want to play hockey.
Dominic Hobdell, the newly appointed hockey development officer, said: ‘These leagues are a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting to play hockey with people their own age.
‘The main aim is to provide some friendly and healthy competition.
‘It’s about increasing publicity and giving young people a chance to learn basic skills through supervised training and enjoying themselves too.’
