Old Boys go top in Division Two

Old Boys moved to the top of CFS Division Two with a 7-3 win at a spirited Douglas and District on Saturday.

Sean Gavin led the way with a hat-trick and was joined on the scoresheet by Craig Stewart (two), Darren Hudgeon and Matthew Quilliam.

Cliffy Lewin, Daniel Clague Stewart and Andy Thorpe found the net for D&D.

It was sheer destruction and demolition as Pulrose beat nine-man Jurby 19-0!

The talented David Skillen scored EIGHT, Darren Dooley grabbed a hat-trick, Jay Wood a double, and there were also goals for Brian O’Riordan, John Halsall, Ben Cowin, Barry English, Gary Skillicorn, and goalkeeper Stuart Morris!

Ramsey Youth Centre held the Police to a 1-1 draw at Groves Road with Andy Cleator cancelling out Neil Cain’s opener for the home side.

Jack Charmer was the hero as the ever-improving Malew thrashed Foxdale 4-1 at Clagh Vane.

He scored a hat-trick in an excellent win with Darryl Yardley grabbing the other.

Steve Parry, with his fourth in two games, notched the Foxdale reply.

Ronaldsway gained one of the most impressive results in their recent history – a 1-1 draw at southern neighbours Castletown.

Dwayne Dawson gave the Rockets an interval lead before 15 year-old debutant Steven Wade provided Town with a rare moment of joy with the equaliser.

There was a six goal thriller at Glen Road as Colby and Michael drew 3-3.

James Collett (two) and Sam Renshaw were on target for the home side with Jamie Moffatt, Kieran Quinn and Michael Shimmin the Michael scorers.
