Failed airline boss gets new job

The so-called ‘Baby Branson’ behind the Island airline Alpha One has come down to earth with a job at a record shop in Oxford.

Twenty-year-old Martin Halstead has become marketing director of DMR Music.

But he says he hasn’t given up his dream of forming his own airline after starting a short-lived service between the Isle of Man and Edinburgh.

He says he’s proud of his achievement with Alpha One and is still looking at possible routes for a new airline in the future.
