The Islof Man's Special Olympics team has won more medals at the European Youth Games in Rome, with some outstanding achievements.
There was an extremely exciting day in the pool where David Hudson won the gold medal in the 50 metre backstroke in a very close finish. Michelle Cameron also won gold for the Island in the 50m backstroke . .and in the same race Lindsay Fox followed her home in bronze medal position.
Katie Saunders won a silver medal in the 200m track event. She was narrowly beaten for the gold on the line and achieved a personal best time of 37.37 seconds. John Stevens took a bronze in the men's 200m with a time of 26.43 seconds.
In the ten pin bowling Emily Davis and David Dinham won their second bronze medal of the competition in the doubles event . . and Sean Roberts and Amy Kaighin finished fifth.
The Manx athletes are up against sportsmen and women from in excess of 50 other countries from around Europe.
The event finishes on Thursday and the athletes will return home to the Island on Friday evening.
