Valkyrs clear at top

Valkyrs A were the comfortable winners of the top of the table clash in mixed league, division one. They beat Falcons 6-2, thanks to a Gareth Morris hat-trick and further goals from Andrea Kneen (2) and Jerry Quinn. Falcons missed a flick early in the game and two of Valkyrs’ goals came late on, but they were worthy winners.
Ramsey A moved into second place, a point behind the leaders, thanks to a 2-0 win over bottom of the table Saracens A. Both goals came in the second half and the players on target were Ali Breen and James Atchison.
Reigning champions Bacchas A found some form, following two defeats in their first four matches. They hit five goals in the first half and four more in the second to beat Celts 9-1. The scorers were Richard Le Page (3), Andy Bridson (2), Gareth Craig (2), Donna Harrison and Jamie Cox.
Also in division one Phoenix A defeated Bacchas B 1-0.
The top two sides in mixed league division two both won. Leaders Valkyrs B came from behind to beat Saxons 3-1, with second half goals from Dave Hall, Mark Perryman and Jonathan Hull. Bacchas C stayed second on goal difference with a 4-0 win over Cammags, with goals from Mark Parsons (2), Kate Sutton and Richard Weir.
Dan Stevenson grabbed a hat-trick in Ramsey Ravens’ 4-0 victory against Valkyrs C. The other player to score was Ollie Webster.
