It was a busy weekend for the Island's athletics community.
On Sunday it was round one of the Manx Gas Cross Challenge series at Noble's Park in Douglas.
Around 150 runners entered and it was won by John Halligan in 33.06m from Andy Cannell and Nigel Armstrong.
Gail Griffiths won the ladies event. Sarah Nelson was second and Samantha Cowen third.
Over the all ages Short Course, Mark Kelly was fastest, with Robbie Lambie second and Chris Quinn third.
Tom Richmond won the Under 17 Boys category, Conor Delanbanque won the Under 15 Boys, Jack Garrett the Under 13 Boys, Shaun Moore the Under 11 Boys and Will Morris the Under 9 Boys.
Gemma Astin was the fastest in the Under 15 Girls, Sarah Astin in the Under 13 Girls, Alice Ashe in the Under 11 Girls and Katie Astin in the Under 9 Girls.
Earlier in the day, some runners had competed in the Welbeck Hotel and Restaurant One Hour Walk Challenge, which was won by Peter Kaneen with a distance of 12,436m. Michael George was second and Jock Waddington third.
Donna Carolan of Ireland was highest placed lady walker, Jackie Campbell was second and Lindsey Kernan third.
Lauren Whelan won the Half Hour Walk, Sinead Kaneen won the Junior Walk Mile and Natalie Cambell won the Junior Walk Half Mile.
Unexpectedly, Ireland's Gillian O'Sullivan who won a silver medal in the 2003 World Athletics Championships took part in the event as part of her comeback from injury.
An Isle of Man team was the UKA Fell Relay Championships in the South Pennines at the weekend.
The Manx Fell Runners team came 24th in the Open class, and were 37th overall out of 111 teams.
The team was made up of Simon Skillicorn, Cal Partington, Dave Collister, Mike Quine, Tom Cringle and Richard Sille.
