A leading local legal firm has been ranked in the top tier of each of the
Legal 500 2006 Isle of Man legal categories.
At the same time Cains are pushing ahead with plans to open offices in the Middle East and the Fast East.
The Athol Street firm has been ranked equal first in the top tier of Banking and Finance, Commercial Property, Dispute Resolution, Insurance and Pension and Private Clients, Trusts and Tax. In Commercial, the Legal 500 has ranked Cains first on its own in the top tier.
Cain's Managing Director Andrew Corlett says that "it is very pleasing to note that our hard work and investment has been recognised by such a prestigious publication as the Legal 500. In the last year, Cains has opened a London office and is the only Isle of Man firm with a fully staffed London presence which it has recently expanded by the recruitment of a former banking partner at Lovells. During the next 12 months we expect to have finalised our plans to open offices in the Middle and Far East, which are now important markets for the firm".
