by isleofman.com 17th October 2006
The Chief Minister says he is happy that the Environment and Tourism Departments are being successful in adapting the Islands infrastructure to cope with " a rapidly changing tourist industry".

In a written reply to South Douglas member Adrian Duggan, Donald Gelling answers concerns about number of apartments being built on Douglas Promenade.

After listing the planning safeguards and checks, Mr Gelling admits that
" establishing the right level, nature and location of tourist accommodation on the Island is a complex matter". However he says he is content that the two Departments are being successful.
