The chairman of the civil service commission says he’s confident all civil servants will receive their final salary pensions as planned.
John Houghton says the billion pounds of pension liabilities would only hit the government if every member of staff retired immediately.
Speaking after the debate in Tynwald this week, he says people’s pension entitlements can be met by the government.
