Lampkin wins Scott Trial

by isleofman.com 23rd October 2006
After a break of 12 years, Manx resident Dougie Lampkin won the infamous Scott Trial at the weekend.

From the start it was a two horse race between Lampkin and rival Graham Jarvis, but Jarvis was eliminated after missing a section.

Lampkin went on to post a time of four hours and fifty six minutes, and combined with losing 33 penalities on observation, took the win from second placed Wayne Braybrook.

Nigel Crellin, who captured a second British Youth Trials Championship last weekend, was disqualified.
