Government told "Flybe investment needed"

The Government should be prepared to tell the new owners of the BAConnect operation it's prepared to put iinvestment into the Manx operation.

That's the message from T and G union representative, Bernard Moffat as both BA and Flybe prepare to meet on the Island this week for talks with Government.

It follows the sale by BA last week of the loss making regional operation.

Staff have said they were assured that they had until 2008 to turn the operation into profit, but the one hundred million pound loss from added security measures forced BA's hand.

However Mr Moffat says the talks must look to the future:
