Glover at the double as Whites go top

Corinthians took over at the top of CFS Division Two on Saturday after a 2-0 win at Onchan.

With Old Boys not in action, Corinthians took full advantage to leapfrog their rivals – Steven Glover scoring both goals to defeat a battling home side.

The southern derby ended all square with Malew and Castletown drawing 1-1 at Clagh Vane.

Malew took a first half lead from the penalty spot before Greg Hoskisson equalised for Town after the break, also from the spot.

The father and son combination of Basil and Josh Kelly fired Colby to an emphatic 4-1 win over Douglas and District.

Former Island international Basil netted twice, with his son Josh Kelly and Oliver Swales also on the scoresheet as Colby dominated, leading 4-0 at the break, before D&D scored a second half consolation.

Lowly Ronaldsway showed battling qualities to earn a 3-3 draw at home to Foxdale.

Dwayne Dawson (two) and Mark Wolfenden were on target for the Rockets with Steve Parry, Simon Metcalfe and Paul Crellin finding the net for Foxdale.
