St George’s extended their lead at the top of OSA Division One after winning Saturday’s Match of the Day with a 3-1 home win over reigning champions Laxey.
The Geordies, who were defeated by the Miners on six separate occasions last season, came from behind to run out winners with goals from Callum Morrisey (two) and Martin Torr.
Neil Brogan had opened the scoring for Laxey.
