by isleofman.com 18th November 2006
The Isle of Man under 21 ladies hockey team fared well in their first off-island competition at the weekend.

They lost three games out of three, but performed well against county sides.

The score against eventual tournament winners, Cumbria, was 2-1 with Lorna Kennaugh hitting the back of the net for the Manx.

Runners up Yorkshire scraped through as 1-0 winners, and Cheshire won 3-1. Zoe Shimmin was the scorer for the Isle of Man.
