Skillicorn takes win

Simon Skillicorn reversed the positions of last week's Syd Quirk Half Marathon, beating Tony Okell into first place in the Manx Gas Cross Challenge.

He won round two in Port St Mary by 22 seconds in a time of 25.59m.

Nigel Armstrong was third, Paul Sheard fourth and Darren Gray was fifth.

Sarah Nelson was the fastest lady, ahead of Dawn Yates, Bridget Kaneen, Wendy Ross and Marit Zahkna.

Robbie Lambie won over the short course in 11.10m, from Stephen Bennett, Ciara Kaneen, Brendan Fargher and Barry Moore.

Winners of the youth races were as follows:

Under 17 boys - Ryan Fairclough
Under 17 girls - Kyle Blackwood
Under 15 boys - Conor Delanbanque
Under 15 girls - Gemma Astin
Under 13 boys - Jack Garrett
Under 13 girls - Sarah Astin
Under 11 boys - Shaun Moore
Under 11 girls - Alice Ashe
Under 9 boys - Will Morris
Under 9 girls - Marissa Stevenson
