Three senior appointments have been made at Caledonian Fund Services (Europe) Limited.
The latest additions bring to 25 the number of staff employed at Caledonian’s Athol Street offices in Douglas and marks continuing expansion for the firm. Caledonian Group is head quartered in the Caymans and has been on the Island for ten years.
Alan Smith, former managing director of the Bank of Bermuda (Isle of Man) Limited, becomes a new non-executive director. He was there for 25 years up until his retirement last year.
Neil Cain and David Duane join as Manager of Fund Accounting and Senior Fund Accountant respectively.
Chartered accountant Neil joins Caledonian after nine years at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Isle of Man while colleague David – who, like Neil, is 28 – is a part qualified ACCA and comes to the Island from Bisys Bermuda having previously worked at Brown Brothers Harriman in Luxembourg.
Managing Director Gordon Wilson says the company recently had their investment business licence upgraded by the Financial Supervision Commission so they could now administer authorised schemes and full international schemes. He predicts a busy – but exciting – time ahead.
