Greg Ellison to take on key Barclays role

Barclays say they have appointed a new director, Greg Ellison, to its leadership team.
He will lead the banking sales and local Premier operations of Barclays Wealth in the Isle of Man, Guernsey, Jersey and Knightsbridge.


He is 32 and holds an MBA from Henley Management College.
He was an Abbey regional manager with responsibility for 50 branches and around 750 employees in East Anglia, prior to which he was HBOS' regional manager for the north east, based in Leeds.

A former professional rugby player who played for the England under-18s, Mr Ellison comes from Halifax, lives in Douglas, is married to Julie and has a son, Ben, eight months and a daughter, Lily, two.
