Old Boys move six clear

Old Boys moved six points clear at the top of CFS Division Two on Saturday.

They extended their lead with a 5-2 win at Onchan, thanks to goals from Callum Stewart (two), Craig Stewart, Gary Quirk and Sean Gavin.

Mark Walmsley and Liam Buckley found the net for the battling home side.

With second place Corinthians not in action, Michael moved within range after thrashing bottom club Jurby 8-0.

Four-goal Michael Shimmin led the blitz with Paul Corlett, David Lee, Mike Hammond and Kieran Quinn the other Michael marksmen.

Pulrose are up to fourth but were pushed all the way by second from bottom Ronaldsway before a goal from the prolific Dave Skillen sealed a 1-0 home win.

Malew again showed their improvement by thrashing Douglas and District 7-1 - Steve Huckley (two), Keith Collister, Steve Proudlove, Adam Drewitt and John Kelly the scorers.

Daniel Clague notched the D&D consolation.

Two-goal Dave Cleator was the hero as RYCOB moved up to sixth place with a 2-1 home win over Foxdale, whose scorer was Steve Parry.

Police and Castletown shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw at Groves Road – John Quaye and Greg Hoskisson the respective scorers
