Colby FC on the move?

by isleofman.com 28th November 2006
Colby Football Club could be the move.

It's been granted approval in principle to create a football pitch along with associated facilities, such as a clubhouse and car park close to Colby train station.

It's after the deputy Minister for Local Government and the Environment, Steve Rodan, dismissed an appeal against the original decision.

The Planning Inspector concluded the site, while not zoned for development, it would essentially be open use.

He also felt the traffic and parking issues associated with increased flow down Station Road weren't serious enough to affect the decision.
