There's just no stopping David Knight.
Fresh from success in the Barcelona Indoor Enduro last week, Knight blew the field away at the 2006 Last Man Standing event in Texas, USA.
Wet, slippery and as tough as the now defunct Gilles Lalay Classic event, Knight completed the 40 mile day loop in just over two and a half hours, having been told it would take around an hour and a half more.
His blistering pace meant any riders who didn't finish within an hour of him were out of the race, leaving only 11 to contest the night race.
Knight again got a good start and he pulled away from his rivals despite making a wrong turn shortly after the start. He then faced the massive test of a steep climb with a vertical step at the top. With no outside assistance permitted, Knight needed 15 minutes to manhandle his bike up and over the climb.
After around two hours out in front, Knight stopped to mend what he thought was a broken headlight. However, on closer inspection, he realised he'd actually been riding with his main light off.
Once back on the bike, Knight finished an hour later after what he described as 'the hardest race' of his life.
The World Enduro 3 and overall British Enduro Champion was one of only two riders to finish.
