Euro Club is wound up

by isleofman.com 7th December 2006
The Euro Club, which has met since 1992 to discuss issues affecting the Island and Europe, is to wind up in its present form.

At the clubs' annual general meeting, it was decided that falling attendances and other issues had forced the move.

It may be resurrected as a twice yearly Chief Ministers' invitation with the scope possibly expanded outside Europe but that would be up to the next Chief Minister. l
One of the founders of the club, Sir Miles Walker says he feels the Island is better recognised and informed than it has ever been and he would like to think that's partly down to the club.
