Nicola Guffogg joins Tax

A senior Tax Office appointment has been made from the private sector.

Nicola Guffogg is joining the Income Tax Division as a Deputy Assessor of Income Tax, reporting to the Assessor, Dr Malcolm Couch.

She will join the Treasury in March from Barclays where she advises on tax planning in an advisory and managerial role. Prior to that, she was with the London law firm, Slaughter and May.
She is a qualified solicitor and a Chartered Tax Adviser.

In the Treasury, she will concentrate initially on direct taxation relating to the financial services sector and compliance strategy with additional aspects being high-grade inquiry work and technical quality improvement.
