The giants of Manx hockey clash on Saturday afternoon bidding for a place in the semi-finals of the Heritage Homes Cup.

Newly crowned Mixed Division One champions Valkyrs A face Bacchas A at the National Sports Centre at two o’clock.

And Bacchas will be desperate to stop the side who beat them to the championship from going on to clinch a league and cup double.

The two clubs drew 4-4 a week ago in the league and another tight encounter is in prospect.

The winners won’t have much time to recuperate – the semi-final against Phoenix is scheduled for 3.30pm on Sunday.

Saturday also sees the first semi-final between Bacchas B and Falcons, which is due to push-back at 3.30pm.
