Face2Face success for students

by isleofman.com 8th January 2007
Ten students from Isle of Man College are the latest to complete one of the award-winning Face2Face with Finance modules introduced by NatWest and managed locally by Isle of Man Bank.

The programme is represented by a partnership between the College and the Bank. The Bank supplies the materials while the course is conducted by Caroline Convery, who lectures in business and finance within the College’s General Education Faculty.

The students undertook the Basic Banking module which helps distinguish between the different types of accounts. It also includes instruction in cheque-writing and explains about standing orders and direct debits – overall objective being to help plan their finances.

Isle of Man Bank’s Community Investment Manager John Lindon presented the students with certificates to show they had completed the course successfully. Recipients were Dan Palmer, Danni Lamb, Sean Scott, Kenny Mottram, Jonathon Taylor, Liam Christian, Marc Walker, Jessica Lawley, Chris Shaw and Kim Brown.
