2006 Fell Running Champion, Simon Skillicorn, was beaten into second place at round one of the 2007 series on New Year's Day.
Paul Sheard was fastest over the St John's course. Ian Gale came in third.
Rose Hooton was the highest placed lady finisher, with Christine Barwell second and Julie Garside third.
Of the junior runners, Rachael Franklin won the girls contest, and Ryan Fairclough won the boys race.
