Skillicorn wins at Greeba

by isleofman.com 29th January 2007
Simon Skillicorn clinched victory from Paul Sheard at Saturday's Greeba Fell Race on the final descent.

Sheard was second overall and took the veteran over 40 prize ahead of fellow veteran 40 athlete Ian Gale in third.

The evergreen Dave Young won the veteran over 50 prize and in doing so smashed the veteran over 55 record by over two minutes. Stan Sille took the honours in the veteran over 60 category.

Rose Hooton produced a well-measured performance to take the honours in the women's race. She established a healthy two minute lead over her nearest rival Bridget Kaneen, who in turn was well ahead of third placed Christine Barwell.
