Manx air passengers suffer as agreement is reached

by isleofman.com 1st February 2007

Despite BA Unions calling off their threatened strike actions, many Manx passengers will be feeling it in their pockets.
The first of the strikes by cabin crews was due to start on Tuesday this week.
Manx residents, flying BA, will have made alternative arrangements, buying flights on other airlines. These are always more expensive as they are bought much closer to the date of travel.
There will be no refund for them.

Those who might have been hit by the later actions in February may have not have made alternative arrangements and therefore may not have cost themselves extra.

All long-haul flights from Heathrow and Gatwick on Tuesday and Wednesday will go ahead.

BA will now attempt to reinstate as many domestic and European flights as possible - but said the agreement had come too late to prevent disruption to "tens of thousands" of passengers.
