Top two thrash club sides

by isleofman.com 3rd February 2007
The top two in Manx hockey showed their class against their respective club sides on Saturday.

Reigning champions Valkyrs A hit their B side for double figures with a 12-1 thrashing of Valkyrs B.

Meanwhile, league leaders Bacchas A saw off their B side 5-1 – Carl Moore (two), Andy Bridson, Dave Kneale and Paul Griffiths on target with Glen Bloxham-Munday replying for the B team.

An Ollie Webster hat-trick led Ramsey A to a 6-3 win against Castletown A.
Andy Burrows and Ben Curtis were also on target for the northerners.

Vikings A also saw off their B side – Connor Byrne opened the scoring in the first half and two Simon Foster goals after the interval sealed a 3-0 success.

In Walbrook Trustees women's Division One, reigning champions Bacchas A overcame a tough test against Vikings A to maintain their 100 per cent record.

A Kylie Craige goal was enough as Bacchas remain clear favourites to retain the title.
