Dorchester look on bright side of BP split.

A constructive relationship remains and we are continuing to talk to each other.
The upbeat assessment from Dorchester Atlantic Marine MD David Furnival
following news that BP is to assume direct management of its Isle of Man administered officers sailing onboard vessels operated by BP Shipping.

The change we are told, is designed to simplify its officer employment and administration structure and improve the learning and development processes to ensure that BP remains an attractive and motivating employer retaining high quality marine officers.

Not only does it means an end to a twenty year relationship for Dorchester and BP, it will have job implications. But David Furnival is far from crestfallen:
