Group4Securicor, the security and business solutions provider has announced the acquisition of Direct Handling, the island’s DHL agent.

G4S will take over all aspects of the company’s operations, including staff, vehicles and all assets. Direct Handling currently operates from shared premises at the Isle of Man airport but in due course this will be transferred to the G4S premises at Ballacottier in Braddan.

Stuart McCudden, Managing Director of G4S describes the acquisition as being in line with the strategy to develop and grow the business in the Isle of Man. "We have a lot of experience in the parcel and document business and bringing these two aspects of the operation together under one roof will offer improved service levels for customers and provide a spring board for the development of further logistics services".
