ACSP unveil courses

The Association of Corporate Service Providers says it has has arranged a series of courses in conjunction with Jersey-based compliance specialists BakerPlatt.

Five courses are scheduled for 2007:

a three-day Corporate Governance and Financial Control essential skills programme designed by practitioners for practitioners on April 20, June 29 and September 28;

a half-day anti money laundering refresher training course on the morning of April 19 for finance staff with no management responsibilities but some previous AML training; a half-day afternoon advanced anti money laundering awareness course on April 19 aimed at managers, MLROs, deputy MLROs, compliance officers and internal auditors.
Then a full-day introduction to trust and company book-keeping course on May 18 aimed at those looking to move into book-keeping, book-keepers moving into trust and company account preparations and/or individuals requiring an understanding of how financial statements are prepared and, on June 28, a full-day basic accounting course specifically written for the offshore environments and aimed at those with a grounding in book-keeping wishing to understand how to prepare financial statements.

All courses will be held at the Promenade Methodist Church, Douglas.
