Reigning champions Valkyrs A returned to local action, after their English Cup experiences, in style on Saturday.

They demolished Castletown A 11-0, led by a hat-trick from Greg Miller, doubles from Chris Thomas, Gareth Morris, Gerry Quinn, and a goal apiece from Charlie Griffiths and Rob Mylchreest.

In Walbrook Trustees women’s hockey Division One, the champions Bacchas A took another step towards retaining the title with a 6-1 win over Ramsey A.

A hat-trick from the prolific Donna Harrison, and goals from Kath Griffiths, Niamh Goddard and Carly Craig secured the points.
