Astin powers to UK Cross Challenge victory

Sarah Astin produced an excellent performance to win the UK Cross Challenge on Saturday.

In the under 13s section, she came out on top at Wollaton Park, Nottingham, which doubled up as the Inter Counties Cross Country championships in which she finished in seventh place.

Her sister Gemma finished 24th in the under 15 girls event.

Conor Delanbanque finished 156th in the under 15 boy's event, whilst Newham and Essex Beagles athlete and second claim Manx Harrier Keith Gerrard continued his recovery from injury with a 42nd place in the senior men's race.
