Hodgson set for return?

by isleofman.com 3rd March 2007
Rumours abound that Onchan resident Neil Hodgson could be about to return to World Superbike Championship action.

Since returning from 2 years at the AMA Championship in the United States, Hodgson missed out on rejoining Ducati, when the Italian manufacturer chose to stick with Lorenzo Lanzi.

The former Champion has been in limbo since, and a season on the sidelines looked inevitable. However, the paddock at the World Superbike opening round in Qatar has been full of rumours about the Isle of Man resident star.

It's believed he could return for the 3rd round of the series at Donington Park, riding for the Yamaha France Team, if the outfit secures sufficient finance.

Nothing has been confirmed as yet, but one other rumour suggesting Hodgson was about to join Hawk Kawasaki for the British Superbike Championship, has been firmly denied.
