Manx Gas is to remove the full natural gas fuel cost adjustment with effect from 1 April.
They are also reviewing the situation as far as LPG users are concerned.
Its estimated the loss of the adjustment equates to a 8.2% reduction
for central heating users.
Managing director Alan Bates ( pictured centre) says the fuel cost adjustment, introduced last September, was necessary because of volatility in the wholesale natural gas market. He says wholesale prices have now stabilised at a lower level.
And the forward prices through next winter look stable as well.
He is emphasising that this move is because of stability in global prices and nothing to do with the current OFT energy inquiry.
