Knight second in Florida

by isleofman.com 7th March 2007
Double World Enduro Champion David Knight finished in second position at the opening round of the Grand National Cross-Country series in the United States.

Competing at the event known as "The Triton" in Florida, the Manx rider crossed the finish line around two minutes behind the winner Shane Watts.

Knight broke bones in his hand around four weeks ago, and admitted the injury had forced him to grip the handlbars a little differently than usual. Reports suggest the result of this was heavy blistering.

The next round - "The General" - takes place in seven days time in Georgia.
