Kennaugh wins in Wales

by isleofman.com 13th March 2007
Manx cyclist Peter Kennaugh (Pinarello RT) won Sunday's Ye Olde Abergavenny Handicap.

Starting in the scratch group that included the Great Britain Olympic Development team, he formed a break of four riders. There was a slight up-hill finish where Kennaugh attacked with 500 metres to go to take the win

In Belgium at the Record-Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen, Mark Cavendish and Adam Hansen were the only T-Mobile riders to finish the final stage after a stomach virus forced their five team mates to abandon the previous morning.
Cav and his Australian team-mate finished Sunday’s 183km third and final stage in the main bunch, despite both crashing at different points on the cobbled Flemish roads.
Cav hit the deck in the closing kilometres but was able to regain contact with the bunch, but had lost his chance of getting to the front where he could challenge the sprinters.

Mark Cavendish now has his own website. Checkout www.markcavendish.com
