Corinthians kept up their promotion bid with an 8-0 thrashing of Foxdale in CFS Division Two on Saturday.

And there was no doubting the star of the show – Steven Glover hit SIX in the home side’s rout with Jamie Stoy and David Bignall grabbing the others.

Pulrose secured a big win to make them clear favourites to clinch a Paul Henry Gold Cup berth.

The FA Cup semi-finalists won 3-1 at Colby, thanks to second half goals from the prolific Dave Skillen, Barry English and Chris Cowin.

Colby had led at the break through James Collett.

The most improved side of the season, Malew, and a much improved side of late, the Police, were unable to break the deadlock in a goalless draw at Clagh Vane, while Ronaldsway hit back through the in-form Mark Wolfenden to earn a point against another improved side, Ramsey Youth Centre.

Castletown won their penultimate league fixture but were given a scare by bottom club Jurby before emerging 4-2 winners.

Ashley Sansbury, Brett Alcotte, John Howarth and Anthony Beaman were the Town scorers against a Jurby side buoyed by last week’s victory.

In the remaining game, Onchan were 5-2 winners at Douglas and District - Paul Witley (two), Mark Walmsley, Robbie Burns, plus an own goal, sealing the points.
