Sports Aid recipients

This year's Sports Aid recipients have been announced by the Isle of Man Sports Council.

36 athletes will receive financial support and sports institute services during the coming year

Among this year's recipients are multi TT winner Dave Molyneux, former U.K. National Cross Country Champion Keith Gerrard, Commonwealth gold medal winning shooters Trevor Boyles and Dave Walton, Indy Pro Series racing driver Alex Lloyd and UK National badminton champion Josh Green.

There are eight cyclists on the list including Great Britain riders Peter Kennaugh and Jonathan Bellis, as well as 9 motorcyclists including trials, road racers and motorcrossers.

Aside from ten new names on this year's list, Conister Trust and the Royal Bank of Scotland International are added to the list of private sector scolarships, alongside the Albert Gubay Bursaries, and direct government funding.
