The Association of Corporate Service Providers has arranged a series of courses in conjunction with Jersey-based compliance specialists BakerPlatt.
Five courses are scheduled for 2007: a three-day corporate governance and financial control essential skills programme designed by practitioners for practitioners on April 20, June 29 and September 28; a half day anti-money laundering refresher training course on April 19 (morning) for finance staff with no management responsibilities but some previous AML training; a half day (afternoon) advanced anti-money laundering awareness course on April 19, aimed at managers, MLROs, deputy MLROs, compliance officers and internal auditors; a full-day introduction to trust and company book-keeping course on May 18, aimed at those looking to move into book-keeping, book-keepers moving into trust and company account preparations and/or individuals requiring an understanding of how financial statements are prepared; and, on June 28, a full-day basic accounting course specifically written for the offshore environments and aimed at those with a grounding in book-keeping wishing to understand how to prepare financial statements.
All courses will be held at the Promenade Methodist Church, Douglas.
