Peter Kaneen took a convincing win at the 10k Racewalking Championships at the NSC on Sunday.

He came home in a time of 45.59m, over three minutes ahead of Michael George in second. Jock Waddington completed the top three.

Marie Jackson took the women's title, seventh overall, and Jane Mooney was second.

Alice Bell won the Junior 1k, Sinead Kaneen the Junior 2k and Lauren Whelan the Junior 3k.

Meanwhile, Simon Skillicorn produced a well-measured performance in Saturday's Snaefell race, completing the five miles in relaxed style to score a convincing win.

After staying in his shadow at the start, Paul Sheard fell behind Skillicorn and ended up second, ahead of Ian Gale.

Cal Partington displayed her return to form to take the women's race, Rose Hooton just missed a sub one-hour time for second and Bridget Kaneen was third.
