Knight fifth in North Carolina

by isleofman.com 26th March 2007
Fuel problems ended David Knight's chances of a first win in the Grand National Cross-Country Series in the United States at the weekend.

The reigning World Enduro champion eventually finished fifth at round three at Steele Creek at Morganton in North Carolina.

Knight took the lead early on after overtaking Shane Watts. However, according to Knight, the engine on his KTM machine started 'running rich'. A necessary pit-stop took around eight minutes and although a win was out of the question, Knight was strong until the finish.

The next round is on April 14th and 15th.
