Lloyd wins Indy Pro Series opener

by isleofman.com 29th March 2007
Isle of Man driver Alex Lloyd has won the opening round of the Indy Pro Series at the Homestead-Miami Speedway.

He took the chequered and yellow flags at the end of lap 57 after a five car crash 10 laps earlier eventually led to the Miami 100 not going the full distance.

The incident led to a large amount of debris and damage to the catch fencing above the safety barrier.

This is Lloyd's third Indy Pro Series victory, but his first on an oval.

The next round is a doubleheader this weekend on the streets of St. Petersburg in Florida.
